Joshua C. Palabay is a Technical Analyst at Focus Finance. He is a fourth-year student at the University of Nevada-Reno projected to graduate with both a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Economics with minors in both Business Analytics and Military Science. He is actively involved in the Nevada Student Investment Organization, a student-led organization at the University of Nevada-Reno that focuses on the values of investing and is leading a student-run investment fund. Joshua has been trading since early 2018 and in a timespan of 6 months has turned a small $500 account into roughly $10,000. Since May 2019, Joshua has been the board treasurer of the Nevada Military Society, an organization whose mission is to provide outreach to present, active military groups, and veterans in the local area in order to promote harmony between the military and the local community. Joshua has competed in numerous competitions including the 2020 Rotman Portfolio Manager Competition, the 2021 CFA Research Challenge, and the 2021 Rotman International Trading Competition. This summer, Joshua will be joining the Castle Crow team in Reno, NV as a Summer Analyst intern.
