Alex Messick is the University of California, Los Angeles Branch Head at Focus Finance. Alex is responsible for leading and recruiting the team of analysts at UCLA. He is currently a sophomore double majoring in Business Economics and Statistics. On campus, Alex founded and leads the impact/ESG division at Bruin Value Investing—UCLA's premier finance organization and first real money fund. During the spring of his freshman year, Alex worked as an investment banking intern at Cappello Global. In the following summer, he conducted performance analyses on alternative investments and compiled equity research as an intern for Morgan Stanley's Private Wealth Management team. Most recently, Alex has returned to investment banking as a Fall 2020 intern for Montminy & Co. and plans to pursue a career in banking upon graduating from UCLA.
